• Our members raise: about £30 million per
year for international development (plus
£ millions more through Scottish branches of
UK wide bodies)
• Members mobilise: 7,662 volunteers in
Scotland supporting international
development work

• Members work in countries across Africa,
Asia, South and Central America, Caribbean,
Middle East, and Eastern Europe
• Working with their partners in these
countries, they work to: improve access to
health, education, livelihoods, security and
other human rights
• Also in Scotland – changing policy and
raising public awareness, including fair trade

members input to International
Development policy, Scotland Climate Act)
• Improving policy – in host countries, with
partners and local communities
