1. In 1990, we witnessed the Dawn of a New Decade and left the corridors and comfort of Hyde Park
Career Academy anticipating that new and exciting things lie ahead for us. In addition to this feeling of
expectancy, we had a zeal to go places, accomplish goals and achieve success.
Well, here we are 20 years later experiencing the Dawn of Another Decade and we hold the same
anticipation – this time around reconnecting with former classmates, locker partners, study hall buddies,
park companions, detention associates, prom dates, good friends, and control room posses.
The Hyde Park Career Academy Class of 1990 20-Year Reunion Planning Committee cordially invites you
to celebrate the occasion of our class reunion with us on the weekend of June 25-26, 2010.

Parkway Ballroom

Located in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood, the Parkway Ballroom was a popular club during the
1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Today it serves as a beautiful venue for private events and it will be the host
location for dinner, which will be served sideboard-style and includes an open beer and wine bar and
entertainment. Cocktail attire suggested.
Saturday, June 26
12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Once the site of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, Jackson Park’s 600 acres provide recreational
opportunities for athletes, nature lovers, beach goers…and HPCA students. We only are going to use a
fraction of the space to host a family-friendly picnic.
2. Class Photo
Photographer will be onsite to create the 2010 version of our senior picture.

The entire reunion weekend package will be $160 per alumni.
This all inclusive fee covers rental and decoration of the Parkway Ballroom for Friday evening, buffet
style dinner, beer and wine open bar, live DJ entertainment, Saturday afternoon picnic luncheon and
commemorative t-shirt.
Additional non alumni guests are welcome to attend the celebratory dinner at an additional fee of $40
per person, and additional non alumni guests are welcome to attend the picnic luncheon at an
additional fee of $10 per person.
