METHODOLOGY DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT DYNAMIC DIGITAL COMMUNICATION (Digital Signage) MAY 2011
2 “Digital Signage” (DS) market segment or Dynamic Digital Communication (DDC) requires an organization and standards. All2com proposes Agile4com.   The main objective of this methodology is to establish a working basis which will allow the best decisions with more confidence in the implementation of DDC and guaranty quality in network operations, all ensuring the success of DDC projects. The choice of a method based on the proven concept of agile methods as a basis, is guided by a concern for an efficient implementation of the DDC methodology, but also addressing the needs of rapid changes and corrections avoiding financial risks.   In contrast to conventional methods, "waterfall" where the result is validated in the final phase, the agile methodologies have this peculiarity, which is to consider all elements of the solution from the beginning and reach a very precise result using iterations throughout the project. In this way errors are detected sooner allowing time control of deliverables, in which, partial results are evaluated and validated with the project team and client. OPERATION n The operational management is based on different modules defined within the International Standard ITIL and also V3 version that contains almost all the concepts of Agile. We’ve respected the ITIL management modules adapting them to the needs of a DDC network. The various measurements, of standard and specific indicators, are displayed on the dash board that comes in the Transition phase. In many cases each month the different dashboards will be analyzed. Following this analysis, we recommend a solution that is very important to implement, each of the solutions will follow the process from the Construction stage .   • 2. 2 “Digital Signage” (DS) market segment or Dynamic Digital Communication (DDC) requires an organization and standards. All2com proposes Agile4com.   The main objective of this methodology is to establish a working basis which will allow the best decisions with more confidence in the implementation of DDC and guaranty quality in network operations, all ensuring the success of DDC projects. The choice of a method based on the proven concept of agile methods as a basis, is guided by a concern for an efficient implementation of the DDC methodology, but also addressing the needs of rapid changes and corrections avoiding financial risks.   In contrast to conventional methods, "waterfall" where the result is validated in the final phase, the agile methodologies have this peculiarity, which is to consider all elements of the solution from the beginning and reach a very precise result using iterations throughout the project. In this way errors are detected sooner allowing time control of deliverables, in which, partial results are evaluated and validated with the project team and client. OPERATION n The operational management is based on different modules defined within the International Standard ITIL and also V3 version that contains almost all the concepts of Agile. We’ve respected the ITIL management modules adapting them to the needs of a DDC network. Nicolas TREVES, PhD in Computer Science is one of the teachers of the well known Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers (CNAM), where he teaches computer science and methods, using modeling tools based on the famous Petri nets. In addition, Nicolas teaches at several schools, ECP, INT, ENSTA, ENSG and also acts as an expert on different levels, both national (AFNOR) and Europe (RACE, ESPRIT ...). Nicolas has a long professional career having worked at companies like Syseca, CR2A, Atos, Alcatel, where he developed control departments and methodologies applied to computing. Recently, Nicolas has set up several companies in different environments such as real estate or mobile market segment, where he assumes responsibilities within the board. His experience makes him recognized as an expert in several regulatory and standard agencies . Among the best known organizations are, the regulatory agencies such as AGILE and ITIL, influencing their experiences and recommendations, both in industry and university market. Nicolas has a large number of publications (more than 25) in the methodology and computing modelization . AUTHORS André ARICH, Software Engineering specialist spent more than 30 years in Software Companies managing Software Development Projects. As a consultant as well as a teacher, he contributed to the promotion of Software Development languages, tools and methods (Ada, C++, Java, UML) for companies like EADS, Ministry of Defense, Thalès, Alcatel and many other organizations in France. In 2000, he decided to change and became Partner Manager then Marketing Manager for the French subsidiary of Rational, the well known developer of UML and Rational Rose. After the acquisition of Rational by IBM in 2003, André worked for Marketing at IBM Europe and on business development helping Software companies to organize and optimize their development teams with methods (RUP) and tools. Finally, as a big company, IBM offers many opportunities to change and discover new worlds and André spent two years managing the IBM Client Centers in France (Paris and Nice) and developing the usage of digital signage to promote the IBM and partners messages and Ads in the centers.
