1.0 EQUIPMENT PURPOSE/ USE AND APPLICATION DETAILS
1.1 Equipment purpose:The equipment is used for mensurating abrasion
resistance of refractory materials, castable & fictile refractory.
1.2 Execution standard: The equipment is accord with the standard ASTM C
704-2014 ‘Test method for abrasion resistance of refractory materials at room
temperature’.
1.3 Equipment structure:The equipment is made up of mainframe, air
compressor, with air pressure guages, Vaccum Guages and mannometer.
1.4 It does have air vent for dust collection.

3.0 OPERATING PROCEDURE
(Follow ASTM C 704 : 2014, having authoirised copy)
GENERAL PROCEDURE:
1) Add glass tube with gun.
2) First set air pressure with regulator as for requirment.
3) Set valve of silicon carbide funnel according to required time in passing.
4) Set distance between Glass tube and Sample.
5) Close the door tightely.
6) Set Manometer reading with the help of air exhaust control valve.
7) Set vacumme gauge as per requirement.
8) Start the test by starting material flow.
9) After finish of materil stop pressure line and remove test piece from test
platefarm.
10)Measure the weight loss.
11)Calculate total volume loss refering ASTM C 740:2014.
12)Follow this test procedure with standard glass plate and adjust the pressure,
vaccum parameters prior to test piece.

5.0 USERS GUIDELINE
Whether you are the owner, employer, operator, or maintenance person for this
machine, safety is your responsibility. You are responsible for operating and
maintaining this equipment in compliance with these instructions and for using common
sense. Review and completely understand the operating and safety instructions before
using this machine.
1. ALWAYS ensure all components are properly configured and fitted properly for leak
proof and better for for your intended use.
2. ALWAYS check air pressure line for loose connections.
3. ALWAYS follow recommended procedure to operate equipment. Make sure all the
air pressure, vacuum is aper the required norms.
4. ALWAYS use recommended accessories and abrading media of desired
specification.
5. ALWAYS disconnect air pressure and close all valves as soon as test is over to
avoid any kind of mishap.
6. ALWAYS make arrangements to avoid direct exposure to the fine dust
7. ALWAYS use safety mask to avoid direct exposure to dust.

6.0 TERMS AND CONDITION
6.1 Manufacturere is not responsible for mis-handling of equipment.
6.2 We are not liable to physical damage.
6.3 Product is sold on ex-factory basis.
6.4 All consumables / sub accessories are optional and can be sold
separately.
7.0 WARRANTY AND WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
7.1 Equipment is warranty is for 6 months for the date of sales, warranty is
limited to venturi and functioning of the equipment at the time of despatch.
7.2 No waqrranty for physical damage, mis-handling or improper following of
the standard procedure.
7.3 Site support can be provided on commercial terms.
