For Beginners:
Tweet - Each message you send out to your followers
through Twitter is called a “tweet.” It works as a verb, as
well; you tweet a message. Twitter is one big network for
delivering tweets to people, and by fault, tweets are public
and searchable. Each tweet must be 140 characters or less
or else it won’t be published.
New Followers: The total (gross) number of Twitter
followers on your account to date. This does not subtract
the number of people who have unfollowed you.

For Beginners:
Mentions: @replies or @mentions of the Twitter profiles
connected to this group over the duration of the report.
Retweet: When you see a tweet that you think your followers
would be interested in, you can click the “retweet” button to make
that tweet appear in your followers’ home pages.
DM: is short for “Direct Message,” a tweet-like message sent in
private between two Twitter users. DMs are private and do not
appear to anyone besides their specified recipients.

Interactions: The number of Twitter mentions, Retweets and
Facebook stories created for the profiles connected to this Group.
Unique Users: The number of people who interacted with the
Twitter profiles or Facebook Pages in this Group.
Impressions: Combined number of potential users that saw any
content associated with the Twitter & Facebook profiles connected
to this Group.
Post Engagement – Post Engagement is a metric that used to
measure a posts effectiveness at engaging a brand’s audience.

For Pros:
Filters – Allows you to filter through millions of tweets by
searching keywords of interest.
Engagement Rate – Twitter engagement rate is the
number of replies and retweets divided by a brands number
of followers, multiplied by 100. A good engagement level is
between 0.5 and 2.0%.

For Beginners:
Friend: Your Facebook Friends are the people you connect
with (or “Friend”) and share content and updates with on
Facebook.
Like: You can click the Like link on any Facebook update to
show that you like the content. When you Like something,
the action appears as an update on your Facebook Wall
(see “Wall” below).
Messages: Your Facebook Messages are similar to private
email messages.

News Feed: Your Facebook News Feed is the continually appended
feed of status updates that appears on your Facebook Profile home page.
It shows the most recent activities from your Facebook Friends and
Facebook Pages that you follow.
Notes: Using the Notes feature, you can publish messages in rich-text
format
Notifications: You can set up your Facebook Profile so you receive email,
mobile, or onsite updates when certain activities happen on Facebook.
Poke: If you want to get one of your Facebook Friend’s attention, you can
“poke” him or her on Facebook.

Interactions: The number of Twitter mentions, Retweets and
Facebook stories created for the profiles connected to this Group.
Unique Users: The number of people who interacted with the Twitter
profiles or Facebook Pages in this Group.

Organic: The number of times your posts were seen in News Feeds
or Tickers or on visits to your Page. These impressions can be Fans
or non-Fans.
Viral: The number of impressions generated from a story published
about your Page (aka from a Page Post, User Post, Mention or Fan
as described
User Post: The number of impressions generated
from user posts to your wall.
Page Post: The number of impressions generated
from comments on your Page posts.
Mention: The number of impressions generated by
people who have tagged your Facebook page in a post
or comment
Daily Mentions – Used whenever a user wants to
reference their friend in the message text they enter.
For example, mention tagging can be used if someone
wants to describe the people in a photo or bring a
friend’s attention to something they might enjoy.
Engagement Rate – Engagement Rate is a metric
that marketers use to measure brands’ effectiveness at
engaging their audiences.
