Child Centred DRR – as a niche strategy of Save the Children India 2008 – 2011 – in Bihar Save the Children and 4 Partners energized a very enriching process of Child Centred Community Based DRR - 50 villages with IKEA support 100 VILAGES with a magnanimous support of ICICI Foundation and CSO Partners Children have played a major role in hazard mappings, development of community and school safety planning and became leaders in Task Forces

26. Child Friendly Flood Safe Shelter ( CFFS) AMANI CFFS PURBI THATA CFFS KHOKSI CFFS On an average, 1000 persons (neighbourhood of 2 to 3 villages) can take shelter in the severe flooding days During non-disaster days, it serves as a school, community hall and other creative purposes
