1. Background
Lasting adhesiveness has other names such as holding power, shear adhesion, shear
resistance, Static Shear Adhesion etc.
This test measures the adhesion of sample to standard steel panel - A strip of tape is applied
to a standard steel panel and the panel is mounted vertically, a standard mass is attached
to the free end of the tape and the time to failure is determined.

LAT-01 Lasting Adhesiveness Tester
Test Description
The test plate with adhesive specimen is vertically hanged on the stand and its bottom is
attached with a standard weight. The lasting adhesive property could be obtained by
measuring the displacement of specimen on vertical test plate or the time to failure at the
load.
