2. CFI’s Mission to the
Karenni People
CFI has supplied countless amounts of humanitarian aid to the
Karenni both in Thai Refugee Camps and across the Burma
Border
CFI’s Freedom House orphanages have provided education,
food, and shelter to many Karenni children when no other
option was available
CFI’s Karenni Bible School is helping provide the Karenni
People with future Christian leaders; it is seen as a beacon of
hope to the Karenni People
CFI has been a voice for the Karenni plight for over ten years,
many times being the only voice in room
3. The Karenni Conflict
Like the Karen, the Karenni have suffered untold atrocities at the
hands of the ruthless Burmese military for more than 50 years.
Many of the Karenni have been gathered and held in
overcrowded refugee camps along the Thai/Burma border. These
camps are dirty, poorly supplied, and the occupants are often
sickened with disease.
The Karenni people are mostly Christian, this makes them a
target for persecution and harassment not only in Burma but in
Thailand as well.
Last year, the New Testament has finally translated into the
Karenni language. This has warmed an already great fire to
spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
4. The Karenni Bible School
Like CFI’s other educational
initiatives, our Karenni Bible
School in Mae Hong Song,
Thailand continues to
experience tremendous
popularity. Students eager to
study the Bible not only
receive a quality education,
but are equipped with the
critical tools and resources
necessary to enter the
ministry and one day become
godly leaders and teachers for
future generations.
5. Making A Joyful Noise
