2. Professional
Tone
• Every
field
of
study
has
it’s
own
unique
approach;
but
every
field
of
study
shares
a
common
approach:
professionalism.
• No
matter
where
you
go
in
life
or
what
you
may
do,
you
will
always
want
to
be
professional.
3. Catching
the
Readers
Eye
Email
Newsletter
• Email
subject
titles
can
make
or
break
you.
You
want
the
reader
to
be
interested
in
what
you
have
to
say;
therefore
you
must
create
a
subject
line
that
will
make
the
reader
want
to
first
open
the
email.
• The
more
detailed
you
are,
the
better
chance
you
have
that
your
email
will
not
only
be
opened,
but
it
will
also
be
read.
4. Catching
the
Readers
Eye
Email
Newsletter
• In
order
to
fully
understand
what
type
of
email
subject
line
interests
readers,
I
went
through
my
inbox,
my
sent,
and
my
deleted
messages.
• I
decided
what
emails
I
would
open
as
well
as
which
ones
I
would
go
ahead
and
delete;
this
gave
me
a
much
better
understanding
of
what
engages
readers.
5. Keeping
the
Readers
Interest
Email
Newsletter
• Although
you
may
be
able
to
convince
the
reader
to
open
your
email,
you
have
to
keep
the
readers
attention
throughout
it.
• If
you
start
off
negative
or
with
something
irrelevant,
the
reader
might
automatically
close
out
and
delete
the
email.
• You
want
the
reader
to
read
what
you
wrote.
6. Keeping
the
Readers
Interest
Email
Newsletter
• Although
all
emails
have
different
goals,
you
must
first
be
able
have
the
reader
look
at
the
entire
email.
• To
get
a
correct
and
accurate
understanding,
I
went
ahead
and
looked
through
some
of
my
friends
inbox’s.
I
decided
what
emails
made
me
want
to
continue
reading
and
the
ones
that
lost
my
interest
immediately.
I
then
asked
others
to
do
the
same
and
explain
to
me
what
made
them
keep
reading
or
what
made
them
close
out.
7. Time
Management
NPP
Work
Schedule
• No
matter
how
much
time
a
student
is
given
to
complete
an
assignment,
it
never
seems
to
be
enough.
Many
students
tend
to
wait
until
the
last
minute,
thinking
they
have
a
lot
amount
of
time,
which
is
usually
not
the
case.
• In
order
to
correctly
calculate
the
time
it
will
take
you
to
start
and
complete
an
assignment,
you
first
have
to
be
aware
of
your
own
work
habits.
8. Time
Management
NPP
Work
Schedule
• To
be
sure
that
my
schedules
are
precise
and
accurate,
I
must
think
realistically.
I
know
my
work/study
habits
and
then
go
ahead
and
apply
them
to
my
estimated
time
schedule.
• Although,
I
would
love
to
finish
my
work
days
ahead
of
time,
I
know
that
it
will
not
actually
happen.
You
have
to
make
your
schedule
is
for
you
in
order
for
it
to
work
on
time
and
correctly.
9. Understanding
the
Audience
New
Program
Proposal
• When
writing,
you
must
understand
who
your
readers
are.
You
want
to
write
so
that
they
understand
what
you
are
saying
as
well
as
allowing
them
to
find
interest
in
your
writing.
• If
you
write
on
a
middle-‐school
level,
professionals
are
not
going
to
respect
your
writing
and
vise
versa.
Middle-‐school
students
will
not
understand
an
extremely
professional
tone.
10. Understanding
the
Audience
New
Program
Proposal
• When
I
began
to
write
the
New
Program
Proposal,
I
had
to
understand
that
I
was
writing
to
students,
but
also
those
students
are
the
ones
that
direct
student
programs
on
our
campus.
• To
be
sure
that
I
was
writing
in
the
correct
tone,
I
went
ahead
and
looked
up
different
examples.
I
then
compared
these
examples
to
my
work
and
made
adjustments
as
needed.
11. Benefits
• Without
learning
how
to
catch
the
readers
eye,
keep
the
reader
interested,
have
effective
time
management
skills,
and
understand
the
audience
I
would
not
be
able
to
fully
succeed
in
the
real
world.
• Without
these
four
important
topics
others
would
not
be
able
to
take
me
seriously
nor
would
I
excel
in
my
field
of
work.
12. Applying
Objectives
• In
my
everyday
life
I
will
use
everything
I
have
learned
in
this
class;
from
writing
emails
daily,
to
making
sure
I
hand
in
tasks
in
a
timely
manner,
and
being
sure
my
audience
will
find
interest
in
my
writing;
without
applying
these
skills
my
goals
and
dreams
will
not
be
capable
of
becoming
fulfilled.
• These
skills
are
ones
that
everyone
needs,
without
them,
success
is
not
in
reach.
