Итак, a fantasy это is a genre of fiction
that commonly uses magic and other supernatural phenomena as a primary element
of plot, theme, or setting. Many works within the genre take place in imaginary
worlds where magic is common.
Poetry is a
form of literary art which uses the aesthetic qualities of language, rhyme and
rhythm.
Fiction – is a long written story, not in poetry, usually about invented
people and events.
Science fiction – is an untrue story about space travelling based on some
scientific facts.
Adventure novel – is an untrue story about mystery and adventures.
Fairy-tale – is a story about fairies and other magical people which
always ends happily.
Ballad – is a simple song or a short story in the form of a poem about
brave and famous people.
Detective fiction is a sub-genre of crime fiction and mystery fiction in
which an investigator (often a detective), either professional or amateur,
investigates a crime, often murder.
In the rude days of King Richard and King John there were many great woods in
England. The most famous of these was Sherwood forest, where the king often
went to hunt deer. In this forest there lived a band of daring men called
outlaws.(Robin Hood)
Once upon a time, a very long time ago now, about last Friday, Winnie-the-Pooh
lived in a forest all by himself under the name of Sanders. ("What does 'under the
name' mean?" asked Christopher Robin. "It means he had the name over the door
in gold letters, and lived under it." "Winnie-the-Pooh wasn't quite sure," said
3. Christopher Robin. "Now I am," said a growly voice. "Then I will go on," said
I.)(Winnie the Pooh)
Old Miss Marple inclined her head. It was a gentle gesture of courtesy.
Whilst Major Palgrave proceeded with the somewhat uninteresting recollections of
a lifetime, Miss Marple peacefully pursued her own thoughts. It was a routine with
which she was well acquainted. The locale varied. In the past, it had been
predominantly India. (Agatha Christie)
Mr. And Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to
say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. They were the last
people you'd expect to be involved in anything strange ormysterious, because they
just didn't hold with such nonsense. Mr. Dursley was the director of a firm called
Grunnings, which made drills. He was a big, beefy man withhardly any neck,
although he did have a very large mustache. Mrs. Dursley was thin and blonde and
hadnearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent
so much of her time craningover garden fences, spying on the neighbors.
(Harry Potter)
Eckels swayed on the padded seat, his face pale, his jaw stiff. He felt the trembling
in his arms and he looked down and found his hands tight on the new rifle. There
were four other men in the Machine. Travis, the Safari Leader, his
assistant,Lesperance, and two other hunters, Billings and Kramer. They sat
looking at each other, and the years blazed around them. (A Sound of Thunder)
Although I am not disposed to maintain that the being born in a
workhouse, is in itself the most fortunate and enviable circumstance that can
possibly befall a human being, I do mean to say that in this particular instance, it
was the best thing for Oliver Twist that could by possibility have occurred.
(OliverTwist)

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun,
Coral is far more red, than her lips red,
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun:
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head:
I have seen roses damasked, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks,
And in some perfumes is there more delight,
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
7. I love to hear her speak, yet well I know,
That music hath a far more pleasing sound:
I grant I never saw a goddess go,
My mistress when she walks treads on the ground.
And yet by heaven I think my love as rare,
As any she belied with false compare.
There was a Young Lady of Niger
Who smiled as she rode on a tiger
They returned from the ride
With the lady inside
And a smile on a face of the tiger.
