3. Goal of TAKS MATH This course is designed to offer students extra support and instructional time to develop and reinforce the math concepts and problem-solving skills needed to pass TAKS.

4. Supplies 1 Inch 3 Ring Binder (Specifically for TAKS Math) 5 Dividers (Labeled: Calendar, Examples, Assignments, and Quiz/Test) Notebook Paper Pencils (Your work will not be accepted unless completed in pencil) Package of Markers for the classroom (8 count)

5. Grades I do not give grades! You earn your grade in my class by doing your homework and being prepared for quizzes and tests. Your grade is calculated by: 25% Homework Average 25% Quiz Average 50% Test Average

6. Rules Be Respectful: of the teachers’ right to teach and the students’ right to learn. Be Responsible: of yourself and your possessions. No Food or Drink: in the halls or classroom. Follow all School Rules: as stated in the student handbook.

7. Procedures Before the tardy bell rings: have your pencil sharpened and be in your seat. During the first five minutes of class: Homework will be checked for completion and a homework quiz will be given to check for understanding of previous material. While Ms. Reeves is teaching: pay attention, take accurate notes, ask questions about things you do not understand, and do not disrupt the class. While working in class: work independently and ask questions about things you do not understand.

9. Cheating on homework, quizzes or tests will not be tolerated. Students will receive a zero and will not be able to redo any assignment that was plagiarized.

11. Students will be given two restroom/hall passes each six weeks.
