This is a project which encourages students to focus on what they need to do to pass their exams well. They will work in a small group to create a revision lesson which incorporates 3 activities for the class to do. The activities must be based on Costa's 3 levels of thinking.

3. Your Mission
 In groups of no more than 4 you will plan a lesson
for the class to revise a topic for the exam.
 Your lesson should include 2-3 activities.
 You will have 2-3 periods to prepare this lesson.

5. Planning the lesson
Your lesson should include:
 A clear explanation of what your topic is and which text it is
from.
 An explanation of what you want the class to achieve by the
end of the period and how they will achieve it.
 Activities for the class to do which will help them understand
more about your topic.
 Example answers where needed.

6. Planning the activities
 Aim to cover the 3 levels of thinking with your activities: gathering information,
processing information and applying what has been learned.
 Gathering is finding answers and writing them down.
 Processing is explaining or describing how something is seen or done.
 Applying is using what has been learned and making sense of it by writing or creating
something new.
 Aim to have at least 1 of each type of activity.

author’s/director’s purpose.
