I successfully defended my PhD study on improving automated detection of clinical mastitis using sensor data from robotic milking systems at Utrecht University, the Netherlands in November 2010. In January 2011, I moved to New Zealand, with my husband and two children. Here I took up a Scientist position within the Milk Harvesting and Farm Automation team at DairyNZ. This team focused on using automation and information technology to reduce labor and to improve farm productivity and profitability. In July 2013, I signed up as a Post-Doc at Wageningen University at the chair group of Business Economics to start working as a researcher at Wageningen Livesstock Research in september 2016.
