3. “LSPS Testing”
is Powered by HBT
Hypothesis Based Testing (HBT) is a personal scientific test methodology powered by the defect
detection technology STEMTM to deliver clean software. It consists of six stages, with the first two
stages focused on “Understanding expectations” and “Understanding context” and the next two
stages on “Defect hypothesis” & “Devising proof”
The first two stages enabled by STEM core concepts like Landscaping, Viewpoints, Landscaping,
Attribute analysis enable you to scientifically undertand the expectations & usage patterns. The
second stage helps you understand the specific types of defects to be uncovered by LSPS while
Operational profiling in the fourth stage help you design real life scenarios.
