35. 9 CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL JANUARY, 2009 We're always seeking to raise the bar and we ended 2008 on a high note with the launch of our most ambitious digital campaign to date - and I’m really excited to show you some photos and video. The campaign was for the upcoming animated feature Coraline and we were asked by Rick Robinson of MacDonald Media to build buzz in anticipation of the film’s opening by creating a series of street-level installations that were unique, exciting and certain to capture attention. To fulfill the request, we created and launched 14 Store-scapesin 7 top markets. The Store-scapesfeatured a variety of digital technologies including video, audio, holograms, augmented reality and gesture. The Boston and New York displays featured holographic images of the movie’s ghost children flying around the interior of the vacant storefronts. Other displays in New York, Miami, Chicago and Washington D.C. incorporated augmented reality technology, which superimposes images of pedestrians as they pass the location. Onlookers saw a reflection of themselves in what appeared to be a magic mirror with a virtual image of large buttons overlaying their real eyes. And select locations in Chicago, LA, San Francisco and Miami responded to motion, clearing away frost to reveal parents pleading for help.
