Tumblr?

2. Tumblr is a free and lightweight blogging platform, aimed at making it easy to share text,
photos, quotes, links, music, and videos, from your browser, phone, desktop, email, or
wherever you happen to be. It is derrived from the notion of “tumblelogging” or, short
form blogging somewhere between Wordpress & Twitter.
Tumblr was created by David Karp when he was 20 years old, fresh
out of working for the start up “Urban Baby” (He taught himself
Japanese to fly out and meet with the developers when was 17).
Running the company is himself and another developer, Marco
Arment.
Once your sign up, this is was your dashboard looks like. As you can see, it’s relatively painless to
write something, throw up a photo, link, a conversation you had, music or video.

3. Choose from a variety of user created themes taking
advantage of Tumblr’s sumple, open API. Themes range
from designy to complicated and it’s all free.

4. Follow or Unfollow people’s blogs and
then…
…watch their posts stream in whenever you log in. Re‐blog
them to your own and share in the push/pull information
exchange.

5. Other cool stuff
Are you a friendless loser that sits in
front of your computer too much?
Tumblr solves that by offering you a
way to connect with people in your
neighborhood ! Those crazy kids…
Tumblr trends allows a real time
comparison with 4 topics being discussed
on it’s site at any given time.

Tumblr is a bastion of hipster types showing off their clothing finds.
Clothing is a huge Quality, local shops with street cred can quickly Blog/Book Social Networks
post what new wares they have. Would be a perfect move for NY
based Dave’s Quality Meat that have a high turn over of product. Or
Nike for that matter.
Branded
Conferences Galleries
Celebrity artist/designers would do well in this arena,
as they could also post pics/video of their daily,
Designers/Artists unique lives.
