1. The Dream of The Crow

2. The crow said to his friend “I have always wanted to be a canary.
They have got such beautiful voice. I wish they always sang and we
listened to them. His friend replied “What’s wrong with us? I’m so
glad to be a crow. I love being a crow. I’m greatful for what I am.”
“Hep bir kanarya olmak istemişimdir. Ne de güzel sesleri var. Hep
ötseler, biz de dinlesek!” dedi karga arkadaşına. Arkadaşı “ Kargaların
nesi var? Karga olmayı seviyorum. Halime şükrediyorum.” diye cevap
verir.

3. The crow scolded his friend “I don’t agree with you. If you like you
can keep being happy with yourself but don’t try to change my
opinion ! ”
His friend went away because he was offended.
Karga “Seninle aynı fikirde değilim. Sen istiyorsan sevmeye devam et.
Bana da karışma!” diyerek arkadaşını tersledi.
Arkadaşı, karganın yanından uzaklaştı çünkü biraz kırılmıştı.

4. Then the night came on. The crow and all the other birds went
into a deep sleep. The crow had a dream and in his dream he saw himself
as a yellow canary. He was singinig so beautifully that everyone was
listening to him in admiration.All the animals were coming from the
furthest countries to listen to it. But then suddenly everyone
began to run away. They were shouting “People are coming!”
Gündüz bitti, gece oldu. Bizim karga
ile birlikte diğer kuşlar derin bir
uykuya daldı. Karga rüyasında,
sarı bir kanarya olduğunu görüyordu.
Öyle güzel ötüyordu ki herkes onu
hayran hayran dinliyordu.
Uzak ülkelerden sırf onu dinlemek için geliyorlardı. Fakat birden
herkes kaçmaya başladı. “İnsanlar geliyor” diye bağrışıyorlardı.

5. The crow couldn’t understand what was happening but then he found
himself in a cage. He was taken away from his friends and his country.
The cage was so small that he couldn’t fly.
Karga, daha ne olduğunu anlamadan kendini kafeste buldu.
Ülkesinden ve arkadaşlarından uzaklara götürüldü.
Kafesi o kadar küçüktü ki uçamıyordu.

6. He didn’t want to sing anymore. He wanted to destroy the cage but
it was so hard that he couldn’t manage. He started to cry.
At that moment he woke up. He looked around and realised that it was
just a nightmare. He was so relieved. He said “Thank God I am not
a canary. I’ll never want to be a canary.”
Artık içinden ötmek gelmiyordu. Kafesi parçalamak istedi. Kafes o
kadar sertti ki başaramadı. Ardından ağlamaya başladı.
İşte tam bu sırada uyandı. Etrafına baktı. Kabus gördüğünü anladı.
Derin bir oh çekti ve “iyi ki kanarya değilmişim. Bundan sonra asla
kanarya olmak istemeyeceğim.” dedi.

7. Ertesi gün arkadaşının yanına gidip özür diledi. Bir daha da kimseye
özenmedi. Daha mutlu yaşamak için, halinden memnun olmak
gerektiğini anlamıştı.
The next day he went to his friend and apologized. He never envied
anyone from then on. He understood that in order to be happy
he should be happy with himself.
