2. Films Vaaranam Aayiram ( A thousand Elephants ) This movie is directed by Gautham Menon. Surya Sivakumar acts in dual lead roles, whilst Sameera Reddy, Divya Spandana and Simran Bagga also play roles in the film. Vaaranam Aayiram illustrates the theme of how a father often came across his son's life as a hero and inspiration, whose death was deeply mourned in the end.

4. VinnaithaandiVaruvaayaaWill you cross the skies for me? The movie is directed and written by Gautham Menon, which features Silambarasan Rajendar and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. The film explores the complicated relationship between a Hindu Tamil assistant director, Karthik, and a Syrian Christian girl, Jessie. Karthik falls in love with Jessie only to be met by her indifference, behaving reluctant due to the fact that they belong to different religions and her strict conservative family will never consent to this. An unperturbed Karthik keeps following and wooing her, who eventually falls for his charms. However, they have to undergo many problems and emotional conflicts; whether they can overcome all hurdles forming the crux.
