President of Prolifogy Inc. Cory Plock teaches
a graduate programming languages course at
in an adjunct capacity at New York University
(NYU). Cory Plock holds a master of science
from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy,
New York , and a doctor of philosophy in
computer science from NYU, and is a Henry
M. MacCracken Fellow.
3. About the Henry M. MacCracken
Program
A funding source for the Graduate School of
Arts and Sciences (GSAS) at NYU, the Henry
M. MacCracken Program honors the school’s
founder. The program began in 1992. In
addition to benefiting from Financial Aid
Reform (FAR4), the Henry M. MacCracken
Program receives supplemental funds from the
school’s dean. The program is awarded to
doctoral students, including those with external
funding, to ensure students receive full funding
award packages.
4. Conclusion
Comprising two parts, the Henry M.
MacCracken financial aid package includes a
scholarship for tuition and other enrollment
expenses related to GSAS degree programs. A
one-time stipend of $1,000 helps doctoral
candidates get their studies off the ground.
FAR4 improved the program with such
features as removing teaching as a fellowship
condition and providing compensation for
students who choose to teach under their
program mentorship.
