Woodstock was a 3-day music festival in 1969 that brought over 500,000 people together peacefully to enjoy music despite the war in Vietnam at the time. It featured performances by famous artists and influenced many to oppose the war. Though there were large crowds and drug use, only one person died accidentally. The festival has become an iconic symbol of the counterculture movement of the 1960s.
