Deliver Monologues Like A Pro
1. Monologue –noun .a form of dramatic entertainment, comedic solo, or the like by a single speaker: Antony’s famous monologue was spoken at the funeral of Caesar.
2. Tip #1 Believe you are actually the person! To really deliver the monologue successful you must have the emotion of the character. Be an actor.. Get into the role. Imagine! If you are Caesar, be strong and a leader.
3. Tip #2 Learn your lines It is very easy to tell when people are reading word for word. The more you practice the more you will sound fluent. Remember to go on; ad-lib if you miss a word. In a real speech the person would continue.
4. Tip #3 Understand the vocabulary Learn what every word means You cannot express the word correctly if you don’t understand it. Learn how to pronounce every word correctly Online dictionaries have this feature.
7. Tip #4 Read the punctuation Sentences periods, commas, questions, exclamations. They all affect the way you are going to speak.
8. Tip # 5 Check out how you are doing. Record your voice and listen critically to yourself are you clear, expressive and believable. Have others listen and critically respond to your monologue. Listen to others how do you compare. What can you learn.
