We use the Past Simple Tense to talk
about finished actions:
 Mary played the piano yesterday.
I went to a U2 concert last Saturday.
Some people cried at the end of the film
last night.
We have some regular verbs
 We add –ed to the base form of these verbs:
play-played walk-walked
learn-learned show-showed
open-opened enter-entered
We have some irregular verbs:
