Destiny and what it offers:
With Destiny reaching its 1 year anniversary soon, the game went through many changes that
have improved since launch, but is it worth buying before The Taken King expansion is released?
I took a very long break from Destiny due to it lacking in what most games have for $60, which is
content. Destiny had released an Alpha & Beta prior to its original launch giving players an idea of
what the game is and how it would be played. The biggest innovation that Bungie wanted to utilize
in Destiny was the social aspect, having players communicate and meeting to do Raids, Strikes and

Pricing and what specific content will be available doesn't give people any comfortability due to
the fact that you won't know what you're getting unless you either do a lot of research or you just
buy it and Destiny is no exception to this. Destiny offers two expansions called The Dark Below I
and House of Wolves II, they both contain content that give Destiny players their grinding fix, but
are both expansions actually worth getting? Yes and it's not for a good reason either. Destiny is a
$60 (at the time, now $30) retail game that should offer content that will make players feel as if
the $60 was worth spending in the long run and ultimately Destiny was not worth that amount of
money during the original release. It lacked content and didn't give players what was offered. The

The choices that Macbeth makes during his pursuit for power ultimately result in his descent into

Fate and Destiny Literary Analysis Essay The founder of philosophy, Christina Carlina, once said,
"fate is chance; destiny is choice." You may have thought these two ideas were the same thing.
However, they are distinctly different. Fate is what is meant to be set in the future, destiny is what
you make it. The two short stories, "The Monkey's Paw" and "The Doomed House of Atreus" are two
very similar stories. But in what ways? Both of these stories are controlled by destiny, choices for an
outcome in the future. In the story of the "Monkey's Paw" about the White family, it is ruled by
destiny. One reason why this story's theme is destiny is because when the White Family was
precisely told that the Monkey Paw would lead to great danger, they were still persistent on keeping
it. Sergeant–Major Morris says, "I threw it on the fire. If you keep it, don't blame me for what
happens. Pitch it on the fire again, like a sensible man (Jacobs 2)." This comment to Mr. White
from Morris is a drastic statement. He clearly tells Mr. White of the great danger, but the White's
are too curious and are relentless. Another reason why "The Monkey's Paw" is ruled by destiny is
when the White's receive the paw, and make their first wish. It is to be granted with two–hundred
pounds (money). They are not very clear with their wish and with the 'gift' of two–hundred pounds
comes their son's death. The White's greediness of money leads to their son's death and when the
second wish is made for him

Hamlet
In Shakespeare's tragic tale of Hamlet, destiny is viewed as a predetermined course of events,
which lead to the outcome of one's future. Morals, values and beliefs reflect one's destiny, since
they affect the decisions and choices that are made. Based on experience and development of
knowledge one discovers their likes and dislikes. These discoveries lead to certain goals, fears,
dreams, desires and expectations that one would go to any extent to achieve. Collectively, all of this
contributes to one's destiny and what they, as individuals, desire for themselves. In the case of the

dreams and desires, they make decisions and choices that may alter the outcome of their destiny,
based on experiences and knowledge of what they like or dislike. In Hamlet, it is obvious that
characters such as Claudius, Hamlet and Gertrude could have altered the outcome of their destiny by
exploring the different options and choices they had. One can always change his decision or choice

The Alchemist Destiny
Many say that every single person on the planet has his/her own destiny, but they always leave
out details on how to find it, making it difficult to explore one's destiny. Movie and book heros
demonstrates that it is hard exploring one's destiny. Take the book The Alchemist for example,
which is amazingly written by Paulo Coelho. The main character is Santiago, an ordinary
shepherd who lives in Andalusia. He has a recurring dream about a hidden treasure in the
Pyramids of Egypt. In order to find out what his dream means, he meets many mentors and good
people along the way that help him interpret his dream, including the Alchemist. They tell
Santiago that there is an actual treasure that is waiting for him and that he should go after it. He
then decides to leave Andalusia and go after his dream in Africa. Along the way he faces many
difficult obstacles that almost cost him his life. For example, he leaves Tarifa, Africa so that he
could leave with a caravan that was going to Egypt. As the caravan is moving along the desert, the
large caravan has to stop at an oasis because there are many tribal wars. He sees the love of his life
here, Fatima. But at the end, he is able to experience a difficult journey that leads him to his
treasure, which is his true Personal Legend or true meaning in life. Another good example is the
movie The Matrix, which is produced by Joel Silver. In the movie the main character, Thomas
Anderson otherwise known as "Neo," is firstly known as a hacker, but he primarily works at a
software company. Neo receives many calls telling him to go learn about the truth, but many times
he refuses. Finally, Neo accepts to learn about the truth, which is that he's been living in a program
world, the Matrix. His crew members Morpheus, Trinity, and many more, explain to him that Neo is
the one to save them all. He too faces many life–threatening obstacles along the way. In the end, Neo
discovers that he is the "one." The Alchemist and The Matrix buttress the theme of finding one's
Personal Legend as both main characters, Santiago and Neo, go on a quest with lots of obstacles to
find and explore their true destinies and discover who they really are. Santiago and Neo go on a
