1.SITUATION
Edinburgh is in the north of England, near to the sea. Is the
capital of Scotland. There are 477,660 inhabitants.
2.HISTORY

It is located on the east coast of
Scotland on the banks of the River
Forth fiord and the local unitary
authority of the City of Edinburgh.
It is the capital of Scotland since
1437 and the seat of Scottish
government. Edinburgh was one of
the most important centers of
education and culture during the
Age of Enlightenment.
3.GEOGRAPHY
There aren’t many rivers, the rivers
that i could find, are Forth river,
Tweed river.
I could find too the mountain called
Arthur’s seat, is the most important
mountain, is in the center of the city.
4.FAMOUS   PEOPLE

Edinburgh have many popular people, there are famous people
from arts, sports, literature...

●   Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930). Born and studied in
    Edinburgh. Scottish physician and writer, particularly renowned
    for his stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes.

●   JK Rowling, born in 1965. Famously completed Harry Potter
    and the Philosopher's Stone whilst in Edinburgh. An author
    best known for her creation of the Harry Potter series. An

7.FAMOUS STREETS
1) George Square
You will find George Square near the Meadows. The square is partly
surrounded by the University of Edinburgh buildings, but it also holds several
points of interest, so do make a little time for a small detour to see this old
square.

2) Grassmarket
One of the best places for shopping or relaxing over a pint or a meal in
Edinburgh is undoubtedly the Grassmarket.



3) Chambers Street
Chambers Street lies to the south of the Old Town. It was named after the Lord
Provost of Edinburgh, William Chambers of Glenorminston and you will see a
statue of him in the centre of the street.
