  several sea legends. Sea legends
• This painting
  represents a
  fantastic vision of
  the sea under a
  moonlight, a huge
  fish with a
  horn, a church and a
  monk on it.
  A ship is leaving and
   a little seahorse is
  on a rock.
His original still-lifes have shells, coral, seahorses,
                        conches…
Even these paintings represent his love for the
                         seaworld.
The old sailor’s room.
Are they the same room?
Find the differences.
• Where’s it going? A ship in the distance,
under the moonlight, in a quiet night.
• San Telmo fires: a strange electric effect that
occurs on the poles of the ships when it’s stormy
  weather.
Submerged temple
          • A dream, a tragedy, a
            legend…
          • A sunk ship on the
            background and an
            old temple under
            water.
          • Seaweed, gellyfish,
            schoolfish and shells
            are under these quiet
            waters.
A mural: MAP OF GALICIA
                • In this picture you
                  can see the main
                  cities of Galicia
                  represented by
                  symbols, and in the
                  sea there are
                  legend creatures,
                  monsters, ships,
                  islands, the rose of
                  the winds…

Murals and poetry
The Sailor’s House of Malpica, 1951
No xardín do fondo mar, durmen os sonos
antigos, no berce mol do craro luar.
En tempos, os fortes homes de Malpica
cazaban a balea por lonxanos mares.
Mar dos avós, dos fillos e dos netos, danos
decote a mantenza da túa entraña.
Norte, Sul, Este, Oeste, cantan na rosa
dos ventos, a verde ribeirana do mar.

two religious triptichs
                    and

Island • The sunlight
           comes through
           a white cloud,
           and reflects on
           the sea.
         • Two ships are
           going to the
           island, and we
           are watching
