Solution Molecular solid consists of bonding between covalently bonded molecule.LIke interaction between I2 and I2 (IODINE).Now these interaction are weak Vander wall attraction like dipole - dipole etc so it is easier to break those interaction compare to the interaction pesent in other solids.Like in covalently network solid has strong covalent bond and similarly ionic solids have stong electrostatic bond due to which melting point of molecular solids have low melting point than other solid compounds.
