and oppression of humans
Sanctity of life
Have a need to be protected because
they can’t communicate - man’s
responsibility
Animals can’t defend their own freedom
Cannot distinguish between good and bad

14. Ethical Farms
Ethical farms are farms which focus
on minimizing the discomfort that
animals go through in factory farms.
Ethical farms are free range, and
provide pain suppressors to lessen
the pain when the animals are
slaughtered.
These farms must be certified by
the ‘Certified Humane’ organization.
15. What is the difference, or is there?...
Animal cruelty/ dog fighting?
Animal cruelty/ bull fighting?
Animal cruelty/ cock fighting?
Animal cruelty/ puppy mills?
16. Dog fighting
Dogs are breed to live off of
violence, aggression and
hate. After being trained with
aggression, they are then put
against another dog in a pit,
this goes on until one dog is
severely injured or usually
dies.
17. Cockfighting
Those who usually are in charge of the cocks,
typically attach a razor to the left leg of both
cocks and allow them to fight until death.
21. Animal Cruelty vs Animal
Rights
Animal Cruelty
● Harming animals
● Abusing against
their will
Animal rights
● Free from
exploitation from
humans
● Have freedom in
life
Daniel: If all animals had complete freedom and rights, they everyone would have to become vegetarian. This is a major economical mistake as the meat industry is one of the largest in the world, many jobs will be lost, economic depression is a huge possibility.
Humans are also on the top of the food chain, we’ve been eating meat since the creation of the human. Going vegetarian may not be an option for a lot of people.
Animals do not contribute to society. The do not build facilities, they do not pay taxes, they have done nothing to work for their rights. Of course, rights are a fundamental right but someone who has worked hard all their life vs. someone living on welfare who does no work, they should not have equal amounts of freedom, the person who does no work has not earned their freedom.
