2. Hand drawn drafts
These are the hand drawn drafts for Sport Talk. This was an important step to do
because it helped me to see what my final website will look like and when design the
real thing I would know what I wanted the layout to look like. Also I helped me to bring
all my idea together on to a page to see what I had come up with was good and will
attracked users.

4. About Sport Talk
• The purpose of Sport Talk is to allow users to talk between each other and interact with
other people by talking about different sports. There is a wide fan base of people that
follow all kind of sports, but there has never been an easy way for them to share and talk
about it with their friends, this is what this app will do. The reason that I have chosen to
name the app Sport Talk is because the words connote what the app is all about. This
means that when customers see the app they will want to see what it is about if they are
into sport. The title also implies users that In is something different and that they need
to get in on it, this will bring in social climbers as they will want to be the first onto the
app sharing their stuff. The concept of Tune In was inspired by Spotify as this is a music
app, however you can add friends through Facebook so you can see what they are
listening to at the moment. From looking at Spotify I have realised that there is no way to
talk to the friends that you have. On Tune In the user will be able to not just talk to their
friends but share songs and music videos onto their page and or send them to groups.
The layout of the app will be simple this is because if people do not like the app within
their first time trying it they will not use it again, so it is important to make sure it is easy
to navigate around. The colours that will be used in the app will be red, navy and black
this is because I know that these colours are linked
5. Legal and Ethical Issues
• Copyright is when an author has legal rights into creating copies, licenses and other work relating to the stories and
content presented on the website whichever the format and is entitled to owning that work that requires authorized
access for it to be used by other individuals if the author gives permission. Based on the content that is on the featured
on Facebook, the person that created the original copy, they have all the rights over the creation. It will be looked into
if there is ever a court case as it is easy for ideas and content to be copied on social media and passed around but all
images will have dates for when they get posted to it will be easy to trace back to its source.
• Intellectual property is defined as having the correct type of property protection to prevent other individuals from
steeling or copying your work. This can be applied to the names of certain products or brands. Through getting IP, this
will mean that you can get a patent as this prevent as this anyone from using your information without permission.
There is an IP license that is linked to the user’s account which grants Facebook a royalty-free, transferable and
worldwide license to use any IP content that the user posts on or in relation with Facebook.
• For royalties, this will be given to those who has legal ownership of their own work and someone else wants to use
their work but this is based on how much money will be will be earned through this. Because Facebook is loyalty-free,
this means that they will have to make contribution fee to use lots of different images for the content.
• I am also obligated to put in a complaint and report section on the website and the app so people are about to report
any bad conduct that is not accepted and the user can be then subject to a review to whether or not they will be
allowed to continue on the app.
6. Data Protection
The Data Protection Act 1998 is an act that exists in the UK which which states that the way that
information about people should be handled in a legal way. The main purpose of this act is to
provide protection to people therefore protection there personal data from being missed used.
The main rules of the Act are listed below:
• Be processed fairly and lawfully
• Be accurate and current
• Not be retained for longer than necessary
• Be protected against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against unauthorized or unlawful
processing and against accidental loss or damage
• Be obtained only for lawful purposes.
All the social medias that I have talked about (Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook) will have to
abide by all these rules if they do not then the company can be fined and sent to court.

8. Sport Talk – Personal Assistance for getting
work done.
Target audience: This will be between the ages of 13 – 30 this is because sport has a wide rang of fans of
all different ages and the content will be suitable for all of them with videos for people that like to do less
reading and more watching clips of sport and article for people that like to read reviews on games and
information about each event.
Convergence: You will be able to use this across lots of different plat forms such as on a computer, mobile
and over further time once the brand has been built on news papers.
App features: features on the app will include pop up messages saying when games are starting, big play
that have happened such as goals being scored or when big and important points have been scored.
Competition: There are lots of different sports app out there such as BBC sports however they do not have
some of the main features that my website/ application will have. For example they do not have any kind
of messaging between fans and friends and they do not have any pop up messages that appear for the
users.
Synergy: Sport talk will work with other social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook to help with
building up the brand of the website but once it have been built up then will be less of a reason for us to
work together.
9. Conclusion
• Throughout Unit 35 I have produced two social media application/websites ,
one of them being a sports application called Sport Talk – which is a sports
app that is used so that friends and fans can talk between each about all
kinds of different sports. The other was called Tune In which is a music
application that is used so you can listen to music as well as shear music
between friends.
• Unit 35 has taught me a lot about has different applications and how the use
their layout and design to bring in more users and how all of them have
added personal messaging so users can talk between each other. I have tried
to add this features into both of my applications to order to make sure that
they will be seen as professional and to become world wide.
