The granting of a child's wish boils down to four major
steps. Children older than 2.5 years of age and younger
than 18 who have not received a wish from another wish-
granting agency can receive wish fulfillment from the
Make-A-Wish Foundation.

 Wish candidates must be referred by themselves, a
guardian, or a medical professional. After referral, the
foundation confirms that the child is dealing with a
