8. Do we have less talent? Less ability? No, Korea’s young people are full of talent and ability!

9. Is our government less friendly to ‘the next Facebook’? No, South Korea’s government does better than both Japan and Taiwan when it comes to business-throttling regulations; and there is abundant government funding available to technology companies, according to the World Bank.

11. What’s wrong with upper-middle class? For most people? Nothing. In Korea, that’s $60,000 to $120,000 (maybe more…) per year plus special standing in the social pecking order. But ask yourself, and think carefully before answering… are you most people?

12. If you want more… Time to take a leap? Start your own venture perhaps? Like Mark. Or Larry & Sergey before him. Or Steve before them. Or Bill before him.

13. Aren’t ready for that yet? Get in early at one of the great startups right here in Korea! Like 10,000 Microsoft millionaires, 1,000 Google millionaires, 700 soon-to-be Facebook millionaires…

14. What can you expect as an early team member of a startup? Get exposed to a lot of responsibility, faster than you would at one of our country’s conglomerates. If you’re cream-of-the-crop talent, the compensation is great, with awesome team culture, and the upside is HUGE!

15. What if the startup fails? You’re young. You’ll find another gig, and your compensation probably will be better than if you had taken the path most chosen… because you’ll have amassed tangible skills and intangible experiences that would have otherwise been out of reach.
