SUMMARY
 21st century learning environments promote the 4 C’s –
Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity
 If designed to be appropriate for the intended grade level, real
world workplace environments serve as models for S.T.E.M.
learning spaces.
 Integration of furniture, technology, and equipment requires
significant coordination.
 Technology and furnishings should be selected to support the
curriculum. To support multiple modes of teaching and learning,
they should be as flexible as possible without compromising
functionality.
