Summer Reading
Program
June 24 – August 12
It is abundantly clear that reading over the summer is crucial for children to retain skills acquired during
the school year. Unfortunately implementing “at home” reading strategies during the summer is not
always as easy as it sounds. Never fear, your BFL children’s staff is dedicated to keep reading fun and
interesting all summer long. We’ll be glad to assist you by finding fun books to share with the entire
family and to encourage readers by creating opportunities for them to earn reading incentives. Book
Buddies will be available on Mondays between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. to encourage reading and help strug-
gling kids. We’ll also keep you busy with a wide variety of free programs for the entire family. Sign up for
all summer programs begins June 3, online or in person at the library. Reading for prizes begins June 24.
