• Global issues- topics/events that have the ability
to change the way each person lives their day-to-
day life
• Human geography- study of the world, its
people, community, and cultures
• Inter-connectedness- close connection of all
humans, animals, and plants
• Global village- the world and all of the
inhabitants of planet earth as a small village

boundaries (ex. Canada)
• Exponential population growth- ultra –rapid
poluation growth that occurs over a short period
of times
• Demography- study and analysis of population
numbers
• Census- formal counting of people, records

• To calculate: divide total number of people
living in an area by the area they occupy
