4. ISAIAH 42:1-4
Here is My servant whom I have chosen,
the one I love, in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on Him,
and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
He will not quarrel or cry out;
no one will Hear his voice in the streets.
A bruised reed He will not break,
and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out,
till He has brought justice through to victory.
In His name the nations will put their hope.
5. LUKE 2:25-32
Now there was a man in Jerusalem
called Simeon, who was righteous and devout.
He was waiting for the consolation of Israel,
and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been
revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would
not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.
Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple
courts. When the parents brought in the
child Jesus to do for him what the custom
of the Law required…
6. LUKE 2:25-32
…Simeon took him in his arms and praised God,
saying: “Sovereign Lord, as You have promised,
You may now dismiss Your servant in peace.
For my eyes have seen Your salvation, which
You have prepared in the sight of all nations:
a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the
glory of your people Israel.”

8. ROMANS 5:2b-5
…we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings,
because we know that suffering produces
perseverance; perseverance, character;
and character, hope. And hope does not
put us to shame, because God’s love has
been poured out into our hearts through
the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
9. 1 PETER 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy
He has given us new birth into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead, and into an inheritance
that can never perish, spoil or fade.
10. REVELATION 21:1-5b
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”
for the first heaven and the first earth had
passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming
down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride
beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard
a loud voice from the throne saying,
“Look! God’s dwelling place is now among
the people, and He will dwell with them…”
11. REVELATION 21:1-5b
“They will be his people, and God Himself will
be with them and be their God. He will wipe
every tear from their eyes. There will be no
more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.”
He who was seated on the throne said,
“Behold, I am making everything new!”
