Proverbs ___:___-___; 2 Timothy ___:___; 2 Corinthians ___:___a Purpose Sunday Today is Purpose Sunday. We are simply striving to fulfill 2 Corinthians 9:7. “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” We purpose to give, and when everyone of us does this, the results are literally in God’s hands. It makes me think of the words of Paul: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So, neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6-7). Paul and Apollos purposed in their individual efforts… God was in control of the collective. The results. May we prayerfully continue this planting and watering process. Only God knows where this will lead for the Kingdom. Notes from the Harp
