1. Inside Sales Manager
Position Overview
Reporting the VP Sales & Marketing, the Inside Sales Manager is responsible for managing all
aspects of the inside sales department and lead generation process. Major duties include:
providing management communications to the Sales department; training & coaching
Account Executives; monitoring & reporting on sales metrics; and managing the sales
administration process.
Responsibilities
• Build a solid inside sales/lead generation team that exceeds sales goals.
• Ensure that sales pipeline remains full with qualified leads & prospects.
• Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to reach daily dial goals.
• Coordinate department activities and projects to meet project timelines.
• Evaluate and improve inside sales and sales administration processes.
• Supervise team in accordance with company policies & procedures.
• Provide coaching for existing Account Executives, and training for new reps.
• Work with Human Resources to determine appropriate staffing levels.
• Conduct employee interviews, orientations, and hire/fire staff.
• Manage performance & salary reviews, and develop employee develop plans.
• Resolve interpersonal issues within department and escalate if required.
• Schedule and lead department staff meetings, workshops, and functions.
• Report to senior management on sales metrics, opportunities, and threats.
• Suggest improvements that can be made to increase value of collateral.
• Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationship
management (CRM) system. Provide data quality checks weekly.
2. • Attend industry conferences to network and develop industry expertise.
Job Requirements
• University degree or college diploma in business or a related field
• 2 years work experience in business-to-business (B2B) environment
• Familiarity with sales process and SPIN Selling methodology
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience reporting to a senior management team
• Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
• Strong work ethic – leading sales team by example (minimal missed days)
• Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Highly proficient computer skills including email, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
