2. Introduction
• Bharti Foundation
– Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.
– The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality
education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India.
– The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country
realize their potential.
• Satya Bharti School Program
– The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation.
– It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus
on the girl child across rural India.
– Present Operational Status:
• Number of Schools Operational: 254
• States of Operation: West Bengal, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar
Pradesh & Tamil Nadu
• Number of Students Enrolled: Over 38,000
3. About the Community
• Geographical Location: It is established in village Achrol, Amer in
dist.- Jaipur Raj
• Cultural Background: People are very poor, They based on
agriculture or daily labour. The role of girl child is not good they treat as
labour for work.
• Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village: The of Satya Bharti
School is as a Model School of the village, It’s a learning temple.
• Participation in ‘Design for Giving’ School Contest: School
participated in Design for Giving for ‘Gender discrimination’
6. We did
President, Chief -guest & guest on the
occasion of baal mela (Children’s Day)
During the year we focused on girl’s empowerment so the people could understand the
role of girl child in the society or nation development. We always gave chance to the
girls for leading to such activities.
7. We ‘Did’:
Students requested to the community members for importance of girls. They also said
for the higher education of the girls which are not going to college. They Said that there
must not be difference in food, caring, affection & education between the boys & girls.
9. Impact on Us:
• With the help of community members the students
successfully conveyed the message of Gender
Discrimination.
• They are sending their girls to college for higher
education.
• Girls are participating in social activities as equal
boys.
• Our school’s girls are taking place in school activities,
they removed hesitation, got confidence & leading
the society.
10. Experience of Community Members & Teachers:
• “I saw that soft hand of our children can change in society very
well, Our school children have done great here.” (K.C.Yadav, H.T.)
