2.
3. Plastics are polymers of high molecular weight. Its internal
structure allows it households and industrial products produced
with improved performance and/or reduce costs.
Most of the these recyclable plastic post consumer use end up
forming non-biodegradable mountains of plastic waste in landfills
and potentially leaking pollutants into the soil and water..
Irresponsible disposal of Plastics Waste have lot of adverse effects
on environment, pollutes beaches, oceans causing harm to almost
millions of animal species
Plastic – Inexpensive, Durable,
Easy to Produce and Recyclable
Multipurpose material
4. Plastic recycling is the process of recovering scrap or waste plastic
and reprocessing the material into useful products, sometimes
completely different in form from their original
state.
The energy required to yield recycled plastics are less than that
consumed in the production of the same from virgin feedstocks
Recycling conserves both energy and material contributing to
sustainable future.
Recycling of plastic waste strengthens the bottom of pyramid of
labor force by providing employment to the labor force & Ragpickers.
Redefining Plastic Waste Recycling at The
Shakti Plastic Industries
5. The Shakti Plastic Industries is the only company in India to Recycle Post Consumer Plastic
Waste and Recycling almost all types of Plastic Waste.
6. Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016
PWM 2016 Aims to bring in the responsibilities of producers and generators, both in
plastic waste management system and to introduce collect back system of plastic waste
by the producers/brand owners, as per extended producers responsibility
Extended Producer Responsibility: Extended Producer Responsibility or EPR is the
commitment made by a producer to facilitate a reverse collection mechanism and recycling
of end of life, post-consumer waste.
7. Recycling
• Involves Collection > Segregation > Cleaning and Washing > Enhancer Addition
> Extrusion > Granulation > Products Manufacturing
Depolymerization (Pyrolysis)
• Depolymerization is process of converting plastic back into fuel
Energy Recovery
• It is burning of waste to produce energy in the form of heat, steam and
electricity.
• Since heating value of plastics is high, they make a convenient energy source.
Advantages of proper waste
management
• Conservation of energy
• Create new jobs
• Generate Revenues Out of
waste
• Provides a sustainable source
of raw materials
to industry
• Sustainable products from
Plastic waste
• Circular Economy
PLASTIC WASTE RECYCLING
AND DISPOSAL

For the past 5 decades, Shakti Plastics has been recognized widely as
a pioneer in the field of plastic waste management. We have rag pickers
network, collection center & logistics partner PAN India for collection,
segregation and transportation of post consumer and industrial plastic
waste management. The Shakti Plastic Industries is authorized by
CPCB / SPCB for collection of plastic waste and scrap.
10. OUR STRENGTH

16. We are registered recycler and recycle all grades of plastic namely PP,
HDPE, LDPE, ABS, HIPS, PS, NYLON, etc.
We normally procure these materials from industries as well as
consumers. These are in different forms like article waste, lumps,
regrades, agglo films, rolls, sheets, bails, etc. These materials are
converted into granules.

19. The Shakti Plastic Industries partners with product manufacturers, importers,
distributors for their Extended Producer Responsibilities and collect, transports, recycles
and dispose of plastic waste on behalf of product manufacturers, importers and
distributors.
EPR is designed to integrate the environmental cost connected with the goods
throughout their lifecycle, encourages brand with financial incentive to create markets
for reuse, buy-back or recycling of materials.
Companies can also delegate this responsibility to a third party.
Government Policy:
PWM Rules (Amendment) 2018 shall apply to every Waste Generator, Local Body,
Gram Panchayat, Manufacturer, Importer, Producer and Brand Owner.

20. OUR EPR OBJECTIVE
Develop effective & efficient system
Awareness Campaigns and Collection Drives
Collection, Segregation & Logistics of waste material
Disposal at concerned Agency as per plastic waste material properties
Partnership with ULB
Compliance with SPCB/CPCB
Project Undertaking

25. 2 We began our journey of commencing Collection & Disposals of
MLP & Non MLP Plastic Waste From Maharashtra state and
now have spread its wings across the country. We have
Corporation from every state where plastic waste where plastic
waste is generated in bulk quantity and set up Collection
Centers Pan-India in association with our collection partners.
Also tied up with logistics partners for collection and
transportation of plastic waste from anywhere in India.
Waste collected from various sources like ULB, Ragpickers, Rag
Collectors, Kabadiwala, Scrap Dealer, Industrial Waste,
Collection Drives and more is segregated into two categories
recyclable & non-recyclable.
We are fully equipped to manage all types of plastic waste
material. recyclable plastic waste is processed at our facility at
Palghar and disposal of non-recyclable waste is supplied to
Cement Kilns or Waste to Energy Plants.
COLLECTION & DISPOSAL
27. In fact, for the sake of operational convenience, we have
introduced “Digital documentation system” which would facilitate
to store all EPR related documents with detailed monthly reports
on our Cloud Server which can be accessed as and when needed
maintaining traceability & avoid duplicity.
• Third party audits are done at recycling and collection center to
ensure transparency & authenticity.
• Documents: Invoice of Collection Center to Recycling Plant,
Weight Slips, Inwards at Recycling Centers/Plants, Disposal
Certificates, E-way bill/LR Copy, Co-Processing Certificates, etc.

people. We engaged tribals and the underprivileged sections of the society and
educated them in Computers, Sewing, Electrical Course and Personality
Development.
We have conducted various tree plantation drives to ensure the country becomes more
green. We provide educational and medical aids to various sections of the society and
have a well-equipped medical center run by our Charitable Trust, Smt. RADHADEVI
PODAAR TRUST.
36. SOCIAL INITIATIVES
The Shakti Plastic Industries has taken step ahead encouraging Repro
an NGO with vision to divert valuable waste from our landfills, water-bodies, drains and
environment and back into the economy through a combination of education & awareness
programs, implementation of segregation at source and create a waste free India in line with a
circular economy, where no waste is left unsegregated or untreated and all waste is diverted from
landfills, water bodies and environment.
Repro organizes programs and events (independently and in association with corporates) on a
local basis in communities to assist and ensure diversion of waste from our drains, water bodies
and landfills and back into the economy instead, primarily by diverting waste to recycling and co-
processing units. This is done through education/awareness sessions, training for segregation of
waste at source, and diversion of such segregated waste to composting (onsite or offsite),
recycling or co-processing units. Repro helps corporates sector to implement and achieve their
EPR targets.
37. RECYCLING PROCESS
STAGE 1: SEGREGATION
When plastic are taken to our facility it is first
segregated density wise and gradewide. And
further processed.
STAGE 2: SHREDDING AND
WASHIING
Segregated plastic waste is further shredded into smaller
pieces for easier handling and processed for washing
STAGE 3: DRY SEPERATOIN
After sorting and cutting, the plastic pieces can be washed to
remove traces of dirt and contaminants, which vary from paper
and glue, to sand and grit, and mixed plastic types that can be
separated in water
STAGE 4: MIXING AND DESNIFYING
Heat can be applied to plastic to separate materials by melting point, whilst fluorescent or
ultraviolet light helps to divide them according to color, or their ability to absorb light.
STAGE 5: EXTRUSION
The final step in most plastics recycling processes is compounding, which involves
converting plastic regrinds into pellets, and often the incorporation of elements to
transform the reclaimed plastics into high-quality, reusable materials. In pellet form,
plastic is more easily distributed and remanufactured
