Cheat Sheet for Bacardi NH7 Weekender Bangalore
1. HELLO AND WELCOME TO
THE HAPPIEST FESTIVAL!
NOV 23-24 | BANGALORE
We’re very excited to have you with us and can’t wait to join you at the
festival grounds for 2013’s Bacardi NH7 Weekender. To make your experience a
little smoother, we’ve made this handy welcome package. Do take a few minutes to
go through it and get yourself acquainted with some of these details. We promise
they’ll only make your festival experience happier!
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
PRO-TIPS
The Bangalore edition of the Bacardi NH7
Weekender 2013 is almost upon us (limited tickets
are still available). The festival hits the Embassy
International Riding School this weekend and we
hope you’re preparing yourselves for what should be
a memorable weekend. Here, we’ve got an extensive guide with everything you need to know about
the festival, along with some handy tips.
BE JUST ABOUT WELL PLANNED
While the festival is in its fourth year, it’s only the
second time for Bangalore, and if you thought last
year was good, wait till you get to the venue this
year! While there are only going to be 9,000
ticketholders at the festival this year, we’ve been
making sure every single person who’s on the
festival grounds has a weekend they won’t forget in
a long time.
The artist lineup this year is formidable (check
out the full lineup here) and you can be sure that
everyone’s bringing their A-game to the weekend.
What’s more, there may be a few surprises in store
around the festival, as the Pune edition saw a few
impromptu secret sets break out. Keep your eyes
and ears peeled! If this is your first time at the festival, you’re in for a great weekend, just soak it all in.
Can’t make it to the festival? Follow all the action on
the official festival live blog.
DISABLED ACCESS
At the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, we believe that all our
patrons should get to enjoy the festival in their own right.
This is why we are committed to taking the necessary steps
to make our festival accessible to the physically-impaired
music fans out there.
The Bacardi NH7 Weekender will be accessible by wheelchair, so festival attendees with physical disabilities need to
keep an eye out for the signs that indicate where wheelchair access is located.
Parking spaces have been reserved for the handicapped
and these are located quite close to the box office. We
are also constructing special areas at the various festival
stages which have special wheelchair access. These areas
are slightly elevated so that attendees with wheelchairs can
enjoy the festival atmosphere and still get an unobstructed
view of the stage.
So take in the performances and hang out with all your
friends because we’ve got the rest covered!
With so many artists spread out across the festival’s six stages, it’s going to
be pretty hard checking out every single act your friends and you want to
catch. Scientific studies have found that picking the three to four artists you
really want to catch everyday and sticking to a loose schedule that allows
you to discover some great new talent is the best way to keep your conscience happy through the weekend. Use the handy festival scheduler at
NH7 inTown to help you plan your day
HAPPY FEET, HAPPY FESTIVAL
Make sure you’ve got some seriously comfy kicks if you’re one of those
hardcore Weekender Warriors who wants to catch over 78% of the acts at
the festival (it’s not a mathematical impossibility). Even if you’re not, there’s
plenty of strolling the lush festival grounds in the offing, so some shoes you
can sink into are a must. High heels... not the best idea this time, ladies.
CHARGE UP YOUR BATTERIES
We know you’ll be using your phones and other mobile devices to
Tweet, Instagram, MySpace (oh wait, is that a thing anymore?) all your
favourite festival moments. And yes, we’ve got special charging stations for all your devices. Head over to the MTS Discover Lounge and
use any of the MTS Charge Up booths to fuel up. While you’re there,
show off your shred cred on Guitar Hero! The highest scorer gets to
take on a guitarist from one of the headlining acts at the festival (hope
all that serious practice shredding pays off) AND win a brand new PlayStation 3!
REAL LIFE SOCIAL MEDIA
Sure, you’ve come with a bunch of friends and everyone’s here to enjoy
the music, but the secret to an all-round happy festival is having a
conversation with a random stranger about how much you like or dislike dubstep. People from around the country make a trip to the festival
and it’s a great place to make new friends to share songs with on Facebook months after this weekend.
BE COOL
There’s plenty of music, and buckets, to keep you happy over the next
few days. Don’t be that guy/gal who does something unsafe or illegal
on the festival grounds. Drugs aren’t cool, and we will hand over users
to the authorities.
BE A PIONEER
Head to the Levi’s® Pioneer Studio on the festival grounds to understand what makes the pioneers of the indie music movement in the
country and around the world tick. Through the day, you’ll be able to
meet and hang out with artists performing at the festival right at the
Levi’s® Pioneer Studio. Get a signed t-shirt (special limited-edition
artist tees will be available at the Studio) tell them how their music
changed your life, or just take a cheesy picture… they’re excited to meet
you too! The LED information screens around the festival grounds have
everything you need to know about when you can meet your favourite
acts, including stage times, Weekender moments (if you’re a fashionable festivalgoer, you may find yourself on it too!) and more.

A BRIEF GUIDE TO GRALLO AND THEIR
SERVICES
The Bacardi NH7 Weekender is all about the vibe, the fans,
the bands and the music. This year, we’re taking the Bacardi
NH7 Weekender happiness beyond the festival grounds.
Soundtrot has partnered with us to create a unique experience of ‘Festival Living’. All this to ensure that your festival
experience becomes even more awesome.
A PEAK INTO FESTIVAL LIVING WITH
SOUNDTROT
Who are these guys with the funny name? They
come from the UK, and they help you to get to the
Bacardi NH7 Weekender through what they call
journey sharing. Basically, the festival starts during your journey, where you meet great people and
extend that festival entertainment right until your
last drop off. So what is journey sharing? It’s exactly
what it says it is; it allows you to share journeys. This
is car sharing, taxi sharing and bus splitting. In our
opinion, it’s a great way to get to the festival. It’s
green, affordable etc etc - you catch our drift.

you need any help!
KIDS
It’s never too early for your first festival. Children below 10
enter free at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender. If you’re worried about sound levels, drop by the box-office and pick up
some kid-friendly earplugs.
BE A WEEKENDER WARRIOR
Here are just a few simple dos and don’ts to make sure you have a stress-free
festival experience.
DO NOT LOSE/MISPLACE/BREAK YOUR
WRISTBAND. You’ll need it to enter the
festival grounds on all days. (And yes, it’ll stay
on even if you shower!)
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL ONLY BE
SERVED TO THOSE ABOVE LEGAL DRINKING
AGE, which is 21 in the state of
Karnataka. No exceptions, sorry.
SWAPPING WRISTBANDS IS JUST NOT COOL.
Don’t run the risk of getting caught and having
yours revoked.
CAMERAS ARE ALLOWED in the festival
grounds. Don’t forget to take some great shots
and share them with us on Facebook and
Twitter.
Most important rule: Lose yourself. Abandon
your friends. TALK TO SOMEONE NEW.
Download the NH7 INTOWN APP and keep
up-to-date on lineups, schedules, other
festival news and of course, special surprises.
BAGS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE. Just make sure
they’re big enough for awesome festival merch.
There are no lockers on the festival grounds
to keep your bags, so you’ll be responsible for
their safety.
PLEASE BE AWARE AND IN CHARGE OF
YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. We really
won’t be able to help you if your stuff is lost.
BE NICE TO YOUR FELLOW WEEKEND WARRIORS. After all, we’re all here to have fun. If
you’re with a group of friends, it’s a good idea
to assign a spot (pick one of the crazy installations at the festival, that usually works) to
meet up if you lose each other. With thousands
of festivalgoers on the festival grounds at the
same time, mobile networks are bound to be
slow, so picking a meeting spot always helps.
WE ADVISE YOU TO NOT STAND TOO CLOSE
TO THE SPEAKERS AS IT CAN PERMANENTLY
DAMAGE YOUR HEARING.
Earplugs are available for children at
the box office.
