1. Book Cover Analysis
Sam, in your essay you analyzed aspects of the cover that I would not have immediately thought of.
You brought up interesting points about both the covers and there influence in the classroom, but I
still wonder about a few of the points mentioned in your paper.
When looking at the covers for "Monster" I definitely agree that they are targeted towards males
because the colors used and the male on both covers. Considering that there is a mug shot on Myer's
illustration, it certainly hints that there will be violence, which is stereotypically appealing to men. I
found it interesting how in the illustration by Myers the letters of the title resemble the bars in prison
cells. The font of this title influences what a reader thinks is going to happen in the book. You looked
deeper into the font of the title when you...show more content...
While I agree that this cover may attract more student s because of its comic like illustration, it fails
to appear like a killer story to me. There is simply a man on the cover that looks distraught, but
nothing to hint to me that he is a killer.
Overall, you thoroughly analyzed both covers and I would agree with you that Myers cover is
more suitable for the book considering how much it encloses about the plot. I would have loved to
hear more about if you think the cover would attract an older audience outside of the high school age.
Additionally one thought that I had while reading your paper was considering this is a young
adult novel, why would the illustrator want to make the cover look rough and violent especially
since in the book it makes it seem as though Steve is guilty? Do you think Myers purposely added
the mug shot and bar cell like letters to suggest that Steve is not as innocent as he appears to be?
Also, why do you think Anyabwile omits any suggestions of prison and seems to lack connection to

3. Importance Of Cover Letter
In my AP English class, we were require to write a sample cover letter for the future purposes of
employment. The importance of writing a cover letter is to give the company a insight on who you
are and what your intentions are for the company. Simply telling them about some of your passions
and what you want out of your employment is a great start to getting hired at whatever company you
want to be employed at.
This is related to career crusing because it is the first step when applying for a company that you
are interested in working at. They want to see what you are all about before hiring you. Based on
the career that you want to go into, the way you word your sentences might change but the overall
template of the paper will not. You

4. Assistive Technology Essay
Assistive Technology
The use of technology in educating children with special needs has widely grown in the past few
decades. Individuals with special needs are unique and all have different areas in which they need
assistance. Due to the advancements in assistive technology, computer programs, software, and other
technology tools, it has become much easier for people to find useful and easier ways to become
educated. Because of this, "technology has changed the way people with disabilities live, work, and
learn." (Winzer,98)
Although computers were initially created for use in business, they have since become a key
resource for teaching all children, including those with special needs.(Winzer, 83) Many...show more

These programs are an excellent tool in helping individuals memorize and grasp certain concepts.
Other types of traditional applications include tutorial programs, simulation programs, and problem
solving programs. Tutorial programs differ greatly from drill and practice software. Instead of
re–teaching already learned information, these programs introduce new information, concepts
and ideas. Simulation programs are visual simulations that help children with special needs learn
how to make good choices. "These programs model reality and allow students to use their skills to
make decisions and solve problems in a safe learning environment." (Olson, 325) These programs
are especially useful in preparing individuals with special needs for life after graduation. By being
placed in different situations, children are able to gain knowledge that may help them later on in
life. The great aspect of these programs is that the children do not need to leave the computer in
order to gain useful outside knowledge. Problem solving programs are also very useful in educating
kids with special needs. In these types of programs, children are given a problem and then required
to take the necessary

7. I very much agree that a book should never be judged by its cover. But like all things, the way you
present yourself to other people does matter, just like first impressions. It's the act of letting it be
all that matters that is a predicament. And there's always more to someone than meets the eye. For
example, judging by my grades, some people naturally assume that grades are all that matter to me.
Failing to notice that I love to play and watch sports and be involved in other activities. While at the
same time, not knowing how much I love volunteering or helping other people. I wouldn't exactly
say it's the most surprising thing about me, but it is something that lots of people don't know. Just
like how they also don't know how much I love

11. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Cover Letter
As requested for this assignment, this memorandum will cover the strengths and weaknesses found
in the cover letter provided. In addition, recommendations will also be provided for future
improvement. One of the strengths found on the cover letter is the writer's introduction. The
writer does a good job of letting the person in charge of reading the cover letters know where he
saw the job posting. Another strength that I found on this cover letter is the writer's inclusion of
relevant job experience for the position he is applying for. The writer explains how he is qualified
for the job by giving relevant work experience and interpersonal skills for the job. Another aspect of
the letter that made it stand out was the professional tone that

It both a representation of Daisy and Doctor T.J. Eckleburg. "The eyes of Doctor T. J. Eckleburg are
blue and gigantic–their irises are one yard high. (chapter 2 part 1). Although the lips of the
incomplete face are more feminine, the big eyes are a reference to Eckleburg. Through the book
the narrator of the story, Nick Carraway mentions the billboard several times. "Then as Doctor T.
J. Eckleburg's faded eyes came into sight down the road, I remembered Gatsby's caution about
gasoline"(chapter 7 part 2 ). The big eyes in the middle of the cover both represent
Daisy(feminine face), and a reference to the billboard. However the eyes on the cover are golden
and yellow instead of blue, since this is also Daisy's face if would make sense that they are this
color, not because of her actual appearance but because of her background. In chapter 1 part 1
Nick says "The Carraways are something of a clan, and we have a tradition that we're descended
from the Dukes of Buccleuch...". This meaning that Nick's family,Daisy , came from old money,
past down from generation to generation. The golden eyes represent the wealth that surrounds
Daisy, Tom, Jordan and even Gatsby throughout the book. "But his eyes, dimmed a little by many
paintless days, under sun and rain, brood on over the solemn dumping ground"(chapter 2 part 1).
The eyes of T.J. Eckleburg represented the eyes of God as well as judgement. They looked upon the
ally of ashes as well as the rich around it. The overall book refers to the American Dream , and in
this case both sides of it ar represented, the High class and the Lower

Resume and Cover Letter Reflection Writing a resume and cover letter seems intuitively easy at
the first glance. Not much to it, just list all that's required, and you should be good to go. Yet this
assignment opened my eyes on how much detail can collude with results. When I started this
assignment, I listed everything as I thought it should be. But trouble to arise was when I read the
resume back to myself. One challenge I faced was to word things in an order, so they are short and
concise, yet descriptive enough to understand. Every time I thought I was being descriptive, it tends
out to be either too long or too confusing for anyone but myself to understand. there's a continuous
process of editing, re–editing, and editing some more. There
