    We care about the use and the integration of digital tools in our institutions.




                           What are digital tools? (Definition)




         Which factors affect the integration of digital tools in classrooms?
                             (From a teachers‘ perspective)

   • …do teachers‘ beliefs, readiness and computer proficiency influence their

   • …which type of digital tools do teacher prefer in their teaching?
   • …how frequently do teacher integrate digital tools and in which ways?

                    The Teacher Technology Questionnaire (TTQ)


   • A validated data collection instrument (tested by the University of Memphis)
   • Commonly used in research and evaluation studies


                  The Technology Implementation Questionnaire (TIQ)

   • Also a data collection instrument (developed by the University of Quebec)
1. Theoretical backround


                           Proposal („My way or the highway“)



   • Using the Teacher Technology Questionnaire TTQ as a basis
   • Additional variables: teaching style and teaching activities (TIQ)
   • Add items from the TIQ (Technology Implementation Questionnaire)
   • Replace the terms „technology and computer“ by the term „digital tools“
   • Define at the very beginning of the questionnaire how we understand the
   term „digital tools“
2. The Survey


                             Proposal („My way or the highway“)


       •   5 Sections:
           1. Backround and teaching styles
           2. Professional views on digital tools
           3. Perception of own ability level regarding the use of digital tools
           4. Perception of (technical) support
           5. Perception on the frequency of integration digital tools

       •   Common understanding of the term „digital tools“ (Question 5.3)
       •   Which schools do we want to compare (same/different) (Question 1.4)?
       •   Online-based or paper-based? (Using LimeSurvey??)
       •   What about translation?
       •   Timetable?
