Book reviews are just that: a review of a book. They can be used for news articles, blogs, or
academic journals. A book review is more than just a book report. It can give the reader more of an
insight into not just the book, but the author as well. Most authors write of what they know. For
example, some authors have backgrounds in law enforcement so they write about cases they know
or have worked. Other authors research groups of people, for example the Knights Templar, and
write of what they have learned. Others yet develop a hypothesis and write of what they discovered,

During my research of her, I learned that she has written several other books other than the alphabet
murder series. She also has written screen plays, a fact that was new to me. This shows her diverse
background in writing. In an interview with The Guardian about Grafton's book "Kinsey and Me",
Crace describes that "Kinsey Millhone, then, is Grafton by another name. Grafton in a parallel
universe.". Crace explains that Kinsey often resembles Grafton. Kinsey is Grafton's alter ego; saying
and doing things that Grafton would not normally do in her everyday life.
Believing in the what the author writes is an important fact for fictional books. Grafton creates well
developed characters and places that are believable and real; even if they are complete fiction.
Thompson Writing Program at Duke University explains that believing in the author's world is an
important fact (Writing Studio, 2018).
Duke University continues to explain that you should "[f]inish the book before forming your
conclusions about it" (Writing Studio, 2018). This is especially true. I found that while reading the
book, I kept changing my opinion of who the true murderer was, only to have my world turned

of the United States Congress and Historian, Daniel Boorstin, was a notable exception, who led the

Aveyard defines a literature review as a comprehensive study and interpretation of literature that
relates to a particular topic. In his view, undertaking a literature review takes two steps: identifying a
research question and searching for and analyzing relevant literature using a systematic approach to
answer this question (Aveyard, 2010).
Hart (1998) put significance on a review of the literature because without it researchers would not
acquire an understanding of the topic, of what has already known, how it has been researched, and
what the key issues are. In Hart's view, ''the review is a part of your academic development– of
becoming an expert of the field'' (1998). Hart also offers his criteria of the literature review:
''The literature review as a piece of academic writing, must be clear, have a logical structure and

his very own bookstore. On the corner of 5th and Spring street, stood a towering 12–floor structure,

Philip G. Ryken's book, Christian Worldview a Student's Guide, gives a basic understanding of
what a worldview is and what the Christian worldview presents, along with its importance.
According to Ryken, a worldview is "a fundamental perspective on the world that shapes the way
we live" (Ryken, 2013, p. 17). It is the structure of our understanding, the way we look at life, the
framework of beliefs and convictions, and the meaning of human existence. (pp. 19–20). A
worldview has so much culture–shaping influence because it is not merely a private perspective but
more communal (p. 21). This is especially true for the Christian worldview because it connects all
believers everywhere. Ryken explains that a properly Christian view of the world engages the

The only thing that has changed is the language that is used to justify it. Racial indifference is the
only thing that this racial caste system needs to thrive. I was shocked to read about all the parallels
that feed into the racial caste systems. First there is political disenfranchisement, where ex–felons
are required to pay certain fees to get their voting rights restored. This is entrapment for the people
of color who have committed a felon and were caught during the war on drugs. After being
released from prison, they were not allowed to vote until they paid those fees. This left out a large
majority of the black population when it came to voting. Therefore, it lefts political bias in the hands
of the whites in America. This same bias occurred in the judicial system. Ex–felons are not eligible
for jury duty. This leads to a racially biased court room, causing a disadvantage toward the black
community. Once a person of color is labeled a criminal, we revert back to the old ways of social
control which leads to the parallels in the racial caste systems. The new caste laws lock people
behind actual and virtual bars with all the rules, policies and custom controls that come to the blacks
labeled "criminals". These former inmates are then denied certain public rights to employment,

The film?s setting was in present and past scenarios, which made it very interesting. As the old
man Duke read the story, in a past plot, and the story began to climax, he would be interrupted by
someone in the nursing staff, bringing them back to the present. This lineup of events leads to a
sense of curiosity as I began to wonder what these two plots have in relation. This curiosity will
soon be fulfilled as the story develops, and the two plots start to intertwine. The director of this
film did a fantastic job in combining these two plots, and giving the audience just enough time to
figure out their relation. He didn?t give it away too soon, or so late that the story got boring or
confusing. He also made very good use of underscoring (background music with no apparent
source) in a previous scene where Allie and Noah where dancing alone in the middle on nowhere,
to the sounds of Billie Holiday. This particular shot was a three minute continuous shot taken with
a camera on a 300ft dolly track. The actors and actresses in this film did a remarkable job in
playing their roles. The language and wardrobe fit the perfect description of a 40?s teenager.
Now, this is what I call a love story. Based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook is most
definitely the way a love story should be. This story doesn?t just say happily ever after at the end, it

It's hard to imagine our lives without books. We learn a lot of interesting things when we read
books. Books are our great friend, teachers and advisers. They teach us how to take the next step
when we are in a difficult situation. They help to shape our life. It is impossible to become an
educated person without books. Besides, books play an important role in upbringing our feelings,
views and tastes; give us a lot of useful information. Frankly speaking I'm not a bookworm but
when I have spare time I read books with great pleasure. It seems to me that books are a source of
emotional inspiration and romantic feelings, it's a miracle in some way, because an author provides

Most teenagers have different opinions on reading. As for me, I think reading is very important,
because books help to discover new things, to learn more about life. Also books tell us about lives of
famous people and other interesting things.
The book I`m reading now is "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer. Stephanie Meyer is a modern
American writer. She was born in 1973 in Hartford, Connecticut. She grew up in Phoenix,
Arizona, along with two sisters and three brothers. "Twilight" is a novel about vampires, written
by Stephanie Meyer. The main characters of the novel are a vampire and the girl dreamed author
in a dream... It is a Vampire novel, the first edition of which only in the United States broke up a
record run of 100 000 copies! The book, which became a cult for youth not only in English–speaking
countries, but in France, Spain, Scandinavia, Japan and China.
The plot of this book has described on how Bella Swan moves from sunny Phoenix to rainy Forks,
Washington, to his father, Charlie. On the first day of the new school Bella sees a strange, very
beautiful family Cullen. Bella is very interested in this family, especially in Edward.
At the first lesson at Biology, plant for one party with Edward. Bell struck by the fact that he looks
at her with an incomprehensible hatred. As soon as the bell rings, he runs out of the class, and the
next few days does not appear in the school.

Under theoretical framework, the literature review explains a good amount on SCT and PA,
however, it is lacking in how it relates in particular to dog walking. It is not until the next paragraph
that the authors mention the relationship between pet walking and specifically pet attachment to be
relating to health outcomes that can be measureable such as blood pressure, triglyceride and
cholesterol levels. Upon a review of the authors' sources, I have identified that a majority consisted
of primary sources. One of the sources cited, Albert Bandura, provides a good deal of credibility in
conjunction with several medical journals such as the Journal of Physical Activity & Health and
Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise. Many of the sources are extremely relevant to the
topic being discussed which in turn provides the reader with pertinent information. One of the other
sources which is from Centers of Disease Control and Prevention backs up this article with data
pertaining to body mass index calculation and interpretation and information that defines
over–weight and obesity. A brief review of the sources identifies a good mix that compliments the
article as a whole. After careful consideration, I have decided that this article is somewhat biased.
The purpose is to increase dog walking among dog owners. The target audience is for those who
owns dogs; however, individuals with different pets, such as exotic animals like a capybara are
