The CLIF Project aimed to study the role of digital repositories in the content lifecycle by integrating a Microsoft SharePoint system with a Fedora Commons repository. It allowed users to deposit content from SharePoint to private or public folders in Fedora. The system was implemented using C# middleware to map metadata and handle access policies between the systems. Future work included porting to SharePoint 2010 and improving search and repository browsing functionality.
