The document provides instructions for installing various SAP components including: 1. Installing a loopback network adapter and configuring the hosts file. 2. Installing Java and verifying the installation. 3. Installing Oracle and patching it before stopping and restarting services. 4. Installing the SAP Central Instance and resolving errors. 5. Creating a database instance and resolving installation errors. 6. Installing the SAP GUI.

1. Installing the Loopback Network Adapter

5. Open Network Connections
Start  Settings  Network Connections

9. Open file C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts.txt
Add an entry in hosts file “IP Address, Host Name and SAPTRANSHOST” (Commend)
Save and Exit

10. In the above snap last line “192.1.100.162 “ is the ip address and lolla is the
hostname and SAPTRANSHOST is the command.
Java Installation :

62. SAP GUI INSTALLATION.

63. Once GUI installation completed, then we get sap logon and start the saplogon:
SAP Software is of 2 types.
IDEAS (Intermediate Development EducAtion System) : It contain dummy data
also for this reason which takes long time for the installation.
During IDEAS installation which give 11 clients(000,001,066, 800,etc.,)
NON- IDEAS:
It uses for the clients or real time. During Non-Ideas installation which gives
3 clients (000,001,066)
000 - Master Client
001 - Copy of Master Client
066 - Early watch client.
During the the SAP installation following users will be created:
2 OS users -> 1) sidadm 2) sapservice<sid>
3 SAP users
sap* -- client administration
ddic -- system administration and perform post installation also using this user
earlywatch – This is sap support.

1. Oracle agent
2. Oracle listener.
3. Oracleserice<SID>
2 SAP services:
1) saposcal
2) sap<SID>_IN
