The Society for Maintenance & Reliability
Professionals (SMRP) is a nonprofit professional
society formed by practitioners to advance the
reliability and physical asset management
industry and to create leaders in the field. SMRP
provides unparalleled value for individual
practitioners looking to expand their knowledge
and skills in maintenance and reliability and
build more business connections with other
practitioners. SMRP is the premier asset
management resource for companies looking to
improve their processes and procedures.
GSMP is an independent, non-profit
organization founded by professionals from
major companies in the GCC region to promote
the maintenance and reliability profession.
GSMP Growth Story :
26 maintenance professionals from major
companies in the Gulf (Saudi Aramco, SABIC,
BAPCO, KOC, QP, PDO, ALBA and others)
started meeting in early 2009 with an intent to
establish a new maintenance society. By July
2009, the 26 founders finalized the preliminary
work and submitted a request to Ministry of
Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain
to officially register the society there. By
January 2010, the Gulf Society of Maintenance
Professionals (GSMP) was officially registered
and announced.
