2. Editor’s Note
This magazine is all about the creative aspects of our students. It
contains artwork and designs made by the students. FDDI provide not
just the theoretical knowledge but also the practical experience in the
field of footwear designing, leather designing and fashion designing.
The way of teaching is set to make the students prepare for any task or
job profile given to them and give there best in that. Students have
been provided with the best facilities, equipment and environment to
develop there creative side and also develop there personality to
represent there skill and work properly.

style product, and because of its continuous
contribution towards nation building, FDDI has been
granted the status of “An Institution of National
Importance” under the FDDI Act 2017.

6. Fashion Designers job is to make cloths that give
expression to the body. largely responsible for
bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into
the mainstream.
Garment making is a technical accomplishment
that requires knowledge of fabrics, principles of
clothing construction and skills involved in it.
FDDI teaches it's students about the process of
manufacturing a garment step by step, from raw
material to a perfect garment. With the guidance
of faculties students are able to select the correct
fabric, color, design and accessories to suit an
individual occasion.

THE STYLE SECTION
A garment that is made will be attractive if it fits well and proper attention is paid to
its finer details. It is necessary to know the techniques of sewing for producing
attractive garments with good fit.
A good fitted garment always gives pleaser to the wearer and gives good name to the
brand or tailor. The most important factor of garment construction is “it should be
comfortable”. FDDI gives proper attention to the students to provide them with all the
required facilities to improve there skills and produce garments of up to the mark
quality.

8. Manual art is the act of using cognition, hands, tools which skills
and materials to make objects expressive. For painting the
medium we use are- acrylic colours, pen, pencils, water colours,
paintbrush etc. For base, we use ivory papers or cartridge sheet
in any size.

Graphite pencils are one of the types
of art mediums that are great for
beginners as you can easily edit and
change your art by erasing. It is great
for shading and outlining.

9. NEW MEDIA
ART
This is a flat sketch of croquis , made on adobe
illustrator by using Pen tool.
Instead of paper, artists could collage with found
digital imagery or computer-generated graphics.
Instead of physical, two-dimensional canvas, artists
could concoct three-dimensional graphic works for
projection on screen or via multimedia projection.
Digital art revolutionized the way art could be made,
distributed, and viewed. It was guided by our faculty
Sunil Sir. The Pen tool, found in the Toolbar, is one
of the most powerful drawing tools in Illustrator.
With it, you can create and edit anchor points and
paths.
The inclusion of Adobe Illustrator in fashion and
design courses as part of CAD is done for good
reasons. The software has been enabling artists to
create professional standard vector graphics.
Illustrator can certainly make your creativity shine.
In fashion houses, designers are expected to be good
at fashion drawings. But, along with this, a good flair
in Illustrator is a must needed skill to benefit the
project. The reason is that in today’s fashion design
houses, fashion illustration done using Illustrator
have distinct advantages that directly benefit the
output.

10. Handloom & Powerloom

In India, Handloom industry is the second
largest industry which is present in each state
of India. It was evolved from the ancient
Indian art form in which the cloth was
handmade. Handloom provide direct or
indirect employment to more than 30 lakh
Weavers and contribute towards the export
income of the country. Handloom sector plays
a very important role in the Indian economy.
In FDDI Patna, where every student is very
creative and passionate to know more about
their fields, on 8 March 2022, FDDI Patna took
us for an industrial visit to the handloom and
powerloom industry visit in the village Nepura
silaw in Nalanda district of Bihar.It was very
interesting to learn about how fabric is made.
Mrs. Shifali Verma (HOD of fashion) also
explained the various steps followed by
the artisans to make different patterns on
fabrics, the process of sizing, attaching
the warp, weft, binding and weaving were
also explained. We saw the product made
with different weaving techniques and
also saw the process involved in the
manufacturing.

It’s a big news that our FDDI gets the subscription

12. Cultural event
FDDI Patna organised a Cultural event on 11th March 2022. It was
full of entertainment which refresh the mind of students and
faculty as well.
It started with the Rangoli Competition among three teams. All of
them
made bright and colourful rangolis. It moved forward with various
cultural performances containing melodious songs and energetic
dances to boost the students with a great energy and excitement.
The show was hosted by Our faculty Praveen Sir along with Uma
Shankar
Sir.
After all the performances of singing and dancing it's time to
appreciate the winners of all the competitions help during the
event. The prize distribution was done by the very own hands
of our Campus Incharge
Mr. Sanjeev Mishra Sir. He cheered up students with his
amazing speech and then felicitate the students who
performed outstanding in sports activities prior to that day.
The event was fully-cheered by both faculties and non-
participant
members. After the event, we got refreshments also and then
comes the holi celebration in which seniors and juniors came
together to played holi. Teachers also came forward and
danced with the students.
