institution might distribute
our media production ?

2. • As an independent film if we would have to go to a production company.
we would chose a small British production company instead of the big SIX .
Firstly because of the budget of our film . Secondly because the big six
would not want to take any risk on an independent film. As we are
unknown and they don’t want to make any investment that they know
that they wont be able to make a big profit on.
Which production company would use?

4. • If a film studio wanted to distribute our film to to the public ,I would say
DVD and online would be our main priority than releasing it in the cinema.
I believe that this is the best way for a independent film to make money
due to the low budget cost. However when we compare this to the bigger
film company such as the big six they have that a bigger budget so they
are able to distribute however they may like.
Why not the BIG SIX ?

5. we might consider of distributing it at long art house especially because
London is more of a diverse area with allot of population . This will be easier
to attract people to watch our film .After 2 weeks we would release it straight
away in cinema with roughly 25 printed copies due to our budget but the
price of the DVD will be higher than usual. We will also release it on TV
channels such as film4 and BBC3 where allot of independent movie are
featured. The last and final place we would distribute our film to is on the
internet which in my opinion is the best place to do it. The vast majority of
the population use the internet everyday of their life. Also its free and the
money saved from this could be used in another distribution method.
