2. Our Story
Living in San Francisco, we realized that it is other San Franciscans who we
most share our lives with--we go to the same events, care about the same news,
and together create a local culture.
Our goal is to make Stampur a geographic network for sharing news, photos,
and events, to create a real time snap shot of your town.
We want to make cities smart and interconnected.

3. Problem
Local communication has not developed much past community bulletin boards,
broadcast news, and online classifieds. People want to know what is happening in
their city, their neighborhood, and right on their block.
More effective communication will enrich people’s social lives, make more efficient
cities, and provide a sense of empowerment to the everyday person.

6. Why Now?
Before social networks, most friends communicated online through email, blogs, and photo sharing sites.
The early social networks grabbed millions of users by simply consolidating these functions . The same
opportunity exists today for local networking, as communication is fragmented across dozens of media.
