2. Housing and Zoning The majority of the homes are built in the 1970’s. Some homes are older, guessing 1940’s. There are newer homes on the outskirts of town from the most recent building boom. As with all communities there are some rundown or abandoned homes. The majority are maintained single dwellings.
5. Open Spaces Greenleaf is a small town built around a private school and church The school has a park with play ground equipment, baseball field, and track.
6. Boundaries The town is surrounded by farm land. Highway 19 goes directly through town. Railroad tracks wind around the outside of town
8. One Store/Gas Station with attached Post Office The prices and merchandise are comparable to a mini mart or larger gas station.
9. School, Church, and Daycare Center Many of the town functions are held at the church and school. 4th of July Celebration. Christmas Expo. Yearly Auction to raise money for the School.. The church is Quaker religion. The daycare is open to all children. The school is private school and busses children in from all over the Treasure Valley
11. Transportation Greenleaf is on highway 19, 5 miles west of Caldwell There is no public transportation, no bus stop, no train station. Towns people walk around town and all common areas are within walking distance

14. People in the Community Children are playing in yards and streets Some adults are out in yards and walking on the street. The estimated average income of Greenleaf is $37,375 as of 2000. (localcensus.com) The majority of households are Caucasian, then Hispanic.
15. Health and Morbidity The nearest Hospital is West Valley Medical Center 7 minutes away. Fire and rescue services are volunteer from the Wilder which is four mile west of Greenleaf. The local store does not sell alcohol, but does sell tobacco. There are no bars or clubs in town.
