Washington Hospital Center, a member of MedStar
Health, is Washington, D.C.'s largest private
hospital. Spread out across a 47-acre campus, the
hospital offers 926 beds and shares campus space
with the prestigious Children's National Medical
Center and National Rehabilitation Hospital.

3. MedStar Washington Hospital Center
Since its founding in 1958, the Hospital Center has
gained several distinctions. Of particular note is the
Center's cardiac care technology and research. In
May 1987, the Center was the site of one of the
Washington area's first heart transplants and it
currently hosts the country's only 24/7 cardiac
catheterization team. Hospital Center professionals
have also made great strides in cancer and the
facility is the largest cancer care provider in the D.C.
area. The Center also provides a transplantation
program ranked in the world's top five percent for
positive outcomes.

4. About the Author
Dr. Garai established his practice, Dr. Allen Garai, in
1995. Since that time, he has served adults and
children in the Vienna, Virginia area, equipping
them with various types of braces. He also teaches
residents at the Washington Hospital Center and the
Children's National Medical Center. The courses he
teaches include Lingual Orthodontics and
Introduction to Class II Orthodontic Treatment,
among others.
